Types of Tendonitis

Depending upon the location of the pain/inflammation, tendonitis can be divided into the following types:

  • Tennis Elbow Tendonitis - In the case of Tennis Elbow Tendonitis, a person experiences pain on the outer side of the forearm (near the elbow). The pain will become aggravated when rotating the forearm or holding an object.
  • Golfer's Elbow Tendonitis - In case of Golfer's Elbow Tendonitis, the pain/inflammation is experienced in the inner part of the elbow.
  • Achilles Tendonitis - A person suffering from Achilles Tendonitis will notice pain above the heel.
  • Adductor Tendonitis - Those suffering from Adductor Tendonitis will have pain near groin, on the adductor muscles.
  • Patellar Tendonitis - If you are experiencing pain or inflammation just below your kneecap, there is a major possibility of Patellar Tendonitis.
  • Rotator Cuff Tendonitis - Rotator Cuff Tendonitis usually leads to pain in the shoulders.
